Our Building Active Lives Vision

Please fill in a pledge form to let us know how you would like to support?
We are encouraging UK donors to make use of our pledge payment form and gift plans to maximise on tax efficient giving.
We also recommend making a bank transfer rather than a card payment to reduce the impact of % card fees on a gift.
If you are an international donor, please also fill in a pledge form and we will contact you.

Sharing Our Vision For Indoor Sports

Our capital building project will be in two phases to transform the school's indoor sports facilities.

In total, the Bramston Foundation will be seeking to support the school with £5m+ to achieve the whole vision and both building phases, over a period of five years.

It is possible to make annual pledged payments in support of the project, as well as gifts of shares, one-off gifts, CAF donations and international payments.

For information or to discuss how you would like to play your part in supporting active lives at St Swithun's, please email us or fill in our pledge form via the button above and we will contact you.

Phase 1, indoor courts with a spectator gallery

Phase 1 - Indoor Courts

We already have planning permission for the first building phase. This will provide indoor netball and tennis courts, which can be used for other indoor activities as well. There will be a two-storey building attached to the courts with a strength and conditioning suite downstairs. Upstairs, there will be a spectator gallery to watch the action, as well as improved car parking with EV charging and a separate road entrance and exit from Alresford Road.

ESTIMATED BUILDING COST: £5m
ESTIMATED BUILD TIMELINE: 12-18 months

PROPOSED FUNDING MODEL
: The Bramston Foundation is fundraising for half of the costs or at least a minimum of £2m towards the overall phase 1 building costs of £5m. The School Council will finance the other half of these costs.

Building Phase 2 - Studios, Gym & Café

The second building phase will create three generous indoor studios, a gym, new changing facilities, both wet and dry, and a café overlooking the school's iconic grass pitches, subject to planning permission. Quickly achieving the first building phase will enable us to get started more quickly on the second phase.

ESTIMATED BUILDING COST: Circa £10m
ESTIMATED BUILD TIMELINE: 2-3 years

PROPOSED FUNDING MODEL:
The Bramston Foundation and the school community will need to help again with the costs of this second much larger building with a fundraised income target of £3m+.
