At the beginning of February students were able to discuss a diverse range of careers with a mix of 16 parents and former students who kindly volunteered their time at our first careers speed networking event of this academic year.
During the evening the girls gained valuable insight into potential career pathways in finance, construction, engineering, medicine, land and environmental design, aviation, leadership, analytics, marketing and PR, national infrastructure projects and how to be an entrepreneur. They gained insider industry tips and tricks and were able to ask questions, deepening their understanding of how education provides options and pathways into the workplace.
To celebrate Science Week our next careers networking event will bring some focus onto STEM-related careers. If you are willing and able to volunteer your time to share your expertise in one of the following industries – science, technology, engineering and maths or anything particularly STEM-related, please click here to register.
