| Old Girls' Association |
Before the end of our Spring term, a team of old girls competed against the current 1st X lacrosse team in a hard fought, fearsome match. The team consisted of girls from a variety of different years, from leaving only last year to four or five years ago. It was so lovely to see everyone again and this time play against some of our ex-teammates!
A key moment to remember would be Mimi T's awesome goal where she flicked it off the floor while facing away from the goal! We had star performances from goalkeeper Izzy Barr and Annabel Josey who were both crowned MVPs of the old girls' team. So many younger girls supported from the sideline, which was lovely to see, and I am sure they were very inspired and loved to see the old girls.
We hope to be invited to this event after we leave as it’s such a great way to see old friends and get to know the new 1st X team, making connections between the past and present Swithun’s community. Thank you so much to all the girls who played, it was a pleasure to have you back on Swithun’s ground.
