Bea James, a talented equine artist and former student, who featured in the OGA Chain magazine 2022 has been continuing with her artistic pursuits. She is currently working on a commissioned portrait of a horse and will also be exhibiting her work at several events in the coming months.

The current piece she's working on was comissioned as a surpirse gift for a special occassion for former student who came across Bea's work in the OGA magazine and loved it.

If you're interested in seeing Bea's work in person, she will have around ten framed paintings on display and for sale at Highfield School on Sunday 21 May. Additionally, she will be taking part in the St Swithun's Arts Festival on Thursday 6 July, where visitors can watch her do a live demonstration and view some of her pieces in the exhibition space. Bea has also been selected to exhibit in the South Wing of Hatfield House in Hertfordshire in September, the date for this is yet to be confirmed.

Bea has also very kindly donated a commission oil painting of either a horse or a dog for our auction as part of summer fiesta event in aid of the Bramston Bursary Foundation this summer.
