Jay Hewitt (née Jones, HA 1954) has been staying with her son and daughter in law on a ranch in the Laikipia district in Kenya.
Trips away from the ranch have been rare due to the pandemic, so imagine her surprise on a visit further north to bump into her St Swithun's friend Pensie Alexander (née Lee Warner, HA 1942) who had been scooped up by her granddaughter to stay with her on the ranch where she is working.
Jay kindly sent the OGA some wonderful pictures of the African animals she managed to photograph from the ranch.
A few weeks later, Jay bumped in to another Old Girl, Nikki Ojiambo (née Young, V 1991) pictured together below looking through some old photographs. What a surprisingly sociable summer she has had in remote Africa!
