Bramston Bursary Foundation Raises over £50,000

We are thrilled to announce that the fundraising efforts of the Bramston Bursary Foundation, through the St Swithun's Challenge and the Neon Disco and Auction, collectively raised over £50,000.

In the final week of term, St Swithun's School community came together to raise an impressive £50,000+ for the Bramston Bursary Foundation. This incredible sum was achieved through the combined efforts of the St Swithun's Challenge and the Neon Disco Silent Auction and was made possible by the generous contributions and support from everyone involved—participants, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and supporters. A whole school team effort.

A massive thank you and congratulations to all 600+ participants and who took part in the St Swithun's Challenge and Knight Frank who sponsored it. It was a truly memorable day showcasing the strength and spirit of our school community as current and former students from both the prep and senior schools, along with staff and parents, enthusiastically engaged in various activities.

The Three Hills Challengers displayed high spirits as they ran, walked, and sang along the route, while those entering the 1884 Kilomathon impressively surpassed their target, reaching 2049 km, ten minutes before the cut off time.

Caer Gwent emerged as the triumphant winners of the House Fundraising Challenge, with High House and Le Roy following closely behind. The total funds raised by the houses, participants and generous sponsorship from Knight Frank collectively amounted to over £24,000—a fantastic achievement.

The Bramston Bursary Foundation Silent Auction further contributed over £26,000 of bids by the end of the auction. We extend our deepest thanks to all the alumnae, parents, and staff who generously donated and bid on the wonderful selection of auction items.

Your support has enabled students from often complex as well as disadvantaged backgrounds to receive fully funded boarding places at St Swithun’s, making a significant difference to their current and future lives. Thank you to each and every one of you!
