Last week, we held two inspiring careers events. The first event was an interview evening where our amazing volunteers, who work at various firms such as EY, Deloitte and Virgin Atlantic, provided immediate verbal feedback to help students prepare for upcoming interviews for university, apprenticeships, school officer roles, and more. This event was a great opportunity for our girls to get invaluable advice from experts in the field and build their confidence in their interview skills.
In addition to the interview evening, we also celebrated #STEMweek by inviting our U4-U6 students to a careers speed networking evening with the focus on discussions with professionals who have a career in science, technology, engineering, or maths. The aim of this event was to get our students excited and inspired about future career possibilities in the STEM field.
The evening was a great success, with our students engaging in informal conversations with volunteers working in various professions from cyber security to public health. This provided them with valuable insights into different STEM careers and the opportunities available in these fields.
Overall, both events were incredibly insightful and valuable for our students, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to their success. We look forward to continuing to provide our students with opportunities to explore and discover their interests and passions, and to support them as they take important steps in their educational and career journeys.
If you're interested in helping our current students with their future careers, please complete our careers volunteer form and keep a lookout on our What's on page for future careers events.
