The Old Girls' Association is delighted to hear that Rebecca Markwick (HA 2011) is currently doing an MA at UCL and has become involved in UCL's new wellbeing initiative.
She has created and is producing a podcast called Shelf Healing (available on all major podcast platforms) that interviews authors, academics, publishers, and mental health and wellbeing activists about their thoughts on bibliotherapy, books, and wellbeing.
Interview candidates so far include Gyles Brandreth, Clare Balding and James Daunt.
This week's guest is Dr Radha Modgil and she talks about the power of reading for mental health and how lockdown has affected us all.
The podcast is available on all podcast players and can be found here: https://shelfhealing.buzzsprout.com/
