We were delighted to welcome former student, Claire Trant ED 2009, back to St Swithun’s to unveil a purple plaque outside the science department for her work as the founder and CEO of Untap Health.

Claire's company have created a device that is able to detect viruses before symptoms present themselves via intelligent sewage surveillance.

Claire was joined by members of her family and Richard Roberts - the Campaign Lead of Innovate UK, the UKs innovation agency. Their purple plaques recognise the achievements of Women in Innovations Awards winners and aim to inspire more girls into STEM.

They also hosted a Q&A to speak to any aspiring entrepreneurs at the school.
