In July we were very sad to see Frau Grice leave school after years of teaching German.  We asked Manu for her favourite memory of St Swithun's.  Eventually, she said "Creating a giant poodle named Gloria out of papier mâché within the modern languages department as a birthday present for one member of our department!  Gloria featured in many school plays and we had a lot of fun in the process of making her!  Gloria was quite a character and had many a story to tell!"

Manu is looking forward to a new life in Bembridge in the Isle of Wight, semi-retiring and walking the dog along the beach and swimming every day in the sea.
