Come along to our school musical this term, Welcome to Terezin. In October 1941, the Czech town of Terezin was turned into a ghetto for Jews and renamed Theresienstadt by the occupying Nazi forces. Welcome to Terezin. But what is Terezin? A sanctuary where Jewish artists were detained for their own protection during the Second World War? Or another concentration camp? Come and see for yourself, as you join the Danish Red Cross inspector on a tour of this little fortress. Phillip Glassborow’s powerful new play has a strong cabaret-style and features some of the actual songs that were created and performed in Terezin.
Welcome to Terezin will be performed three times on Wednesday 23, Thursday 24 and Friday 25 November, starting at 7.30pm.
Members of the school community, parents and school guests are invited to this event. You can book your tickets here. If you are an Old Girl, please let us know you're coming by emailing us at: OGA@stswithuns.com, we'd love to meet you!
