St Swithun’s School will be hosting a conference in partnership with the mental health charity Place2Be on Tuesday 3rd October 2017 called 'Getting to GRIP with resilience and improving well-being'.
This conference aims to bring together eminent speakers and enthusiastic schools to consider policy and procedures that can help adolescents, and their teachers.
Prompted by Theresa May's Mental Health reform in January this conference will consider strategies, policies and procedures that can help classrooms consider resilience and well-being across education.
Keynote Speakers: Emma Judge (How to Thrive), Professor Sue Roffey (Associate Professor at Western Sydney University) and Dr Ann Hagell (Association for Young People's Health).
There will also be the opportunity to pick a range of workshops to attend during the afternoon including workshops by Dr Mary Mitchell (Eton College), Dr Aric Sigman, Jo Morgan (The Portsmouth Grammar school), Clare Erasmus (The Magna Carta School), Matthew Audley (Place2be senior clinical trainer) and Dr Rowan Brockman (The WISE project).
