Visit from Mia Norcaro née Jacobson (HA 1992)

‎‎‎
‎‎‎

We were very excited to greet a former student of ours, Mia Norcaro (née Jacobson), who came to visit St Swithun’s in October, 30 years after leaving the school. Along with her family, she took a tour of the school, visiting the art and science departments, the Bramston Library (which up until 2009 was the Bramston Hall), Harvey Hall, and the two boarding houses she stayed in whilst at St Swithun’s, Hyde Abbey and Finlay. Whist touring Finlay, Mia was even able to revisit her former room!

Mia now lives in Switzerland’s beautiful La Côte region near Geneva. She has over 25 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations and marketing. She completed her degree in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1996. She worked at Kempinksi Hotels for thirteen years, leading groupwide employer branding programmes in addition to her wider corporate communication mandate, her last appointment was as Director of Corporate Communications for the group. In 2016 she joined the Lendunfly family office as Director of Corporate and International Communications, she is currently serving as Corporate Affairs Counsel. Getting to advise an Ultra High Net Worth family with a range of assets, philanthropic activities and a professional sailing team definitely makes for a fun and varied role!

Mia has been living in Switzerland for 20 years and is married to an Italian-Swiss, she has one daughter. She enjoys getting to practice several languages in her personal and professional life, and also still does plenty of painting and photography.

Mia would be happy to reconnect with former classmates, and to meet up if anyone is passing through the region to go skiing in the mountains or sailing on the lake!

We’d be more than happy to welcome former students back for a tour of the school. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at: OGA@stswithuns.com
