The Professional Guidance Department is delighted to welcome Lisa MacLaren (HA 1988), who will be presenting a virtual talk which is open to our state school and community partners, as well as the whole St Swithun's community.

Lisa MacLaren (Biography):

Lisa’s recruitment journey started back in 1997 with Hays. Since then, she has worked across Operations, Sales, Solutions, Implementation and Client Services and held senior leadership roles at Hays, Apple, Wilson HCG and Manpower Group. Lisa has worked across multiple sectors including Investment Banking, Financial Services, Retail Banking, Technology, Pharmaceutical, Professional Services, Oil & Gas, Central and Local Government and Retail.

Lisa is a truly global citizen and extensive traveller, growing up in Southern Africa, living and working in Tokyo for 6.5 years, in Calgary for 18 months and has supported clients and remote teams across APAC, North America, Europe and UK. She earned an LLB (Hons) Business Law from City University, London and completed her Legal Practice Certificate at The College of Law in York (now the University of Law).

Lisa lives in Surrey with her wife Claire, teenage daughter Immy and rescue spaniel, Saki.  Outside of work, she is devoted swimmer, Trustee for ‘Dan’s Fund for Burns’, Advisor to a STEM NFP ‘Get with the Programme’, fundraiser and loves writing poetry.
